PROFILE

Priti Sinha

About Priti Sinha- The grant supports her research project Chitrakkhar (Chitra Lipi), which seeks to develop a visual script as a cultural and material archive for the Bishnupriya Manipuri community. Through the use of natural pigments, handmade painting surfaces, and traditional binders, the project documents rituals, performative practices, and intangible cultural knowledge that remain largely undocumented. Through this award, the Hina Bhatt Art Foundation aims to encourage research-led, ecologically responsible art practices that engage deeply with cultural memory, material knowledge, and community-based narratives.
